THE FIRST DR. LILIAN CHAO ANNUAL SPEECH CONTEST
"Dear Members and Friends:
This is a reminder, as well as an invitation
to all of you. Please be sure to mark down on your busy calendars the date of
April 11. On this Wednesday, at (9: 30 a.m. you are invited to attend an English
speech contest at the Taipei City Fine Arts Museum.
The faculty members and students from six Taipei colleges have
enthusiastically responded to our invitation by holding preliminary contests
within their schools. It will be a refreshing experience to listen to what these
young and conscientious college students tell us about Pollution Control,
Consumer Protection, Taipei Traffic, What is Chinese Culture, and How Should
People Behave in a Museum.
It is interesting that editorial columns in the recent Chinese newspaper
express pretty much the same concern over chosen topics……
Join us on April 11th for the First Dr. Lilian Chao English Speech Contest!
Livia Yu"
On April 11, the top contestants will orally present their speeches
