Lily Chow was a loyal and hardworking member of TIWC. She died at an
early age of cancer in 1982. Her family donated NT$200,000 to establish a fund in her memory
to help handicapped students.

The Lily Chow Memorial
Fund is administered by a
committee of five members of TIWC,
the Social Services
Chairperson and the current President. Interest from this
fund has given a blind student,
Mr. Tung-ueh
Huang, NT$31,000 a year for four years of musical
tuition. His accomplishments have been remarkable. He teaches, is a
member of an orchestra and has given concert performances on the piano. In his report to the Social Services Chairperson
he expressed his deep appreciation to TIWC and the Chow family.
