Mr. & Mrs. Lin Kun-Ti initiated the Lin Kun-Ti Foundation and has been
making donations to TIWC since 1994. This Taiwanese couple had a deep compassion
toward the less fortunate people of their country and they had been making
sizeable donations to charitable causes from that time.
The donations by Mr. and Mrs. Lin are used to help needy sick people, medical
research and handicapped students. Unfortunately, Mr. Lin passed away on
February 17, 1997, of liver cancer.
Since 1994, the Lin Kun-Ti Foundation has made donations to the National
Taiwan University Hospital, Jen-Ai Hospital, Chungsing Hospital, the Lotus
Foundation, Liver Cancer Prevention Foundation, Gateway and TIWC.
The Foundation has helped more than 80 visually impaired students of
Chunghsing University, China Cultural University and Tamkang University to buy
computers, tape recorders, electronic equipment, dictionaries, etc. The
Foundation also assists students from low-income families with scholarships. The
Lin Kun-Ti Foundation holds lectures to promote health and human relations and
organize love-connection parties in co-operation with Carl Duisberg Association
a Sino-German Technical Cooperation Society.
