"TIWC holds meeting and Xmas party."



The Taipei International Women's Club held its general meeting at its office yesterday, preceded by a Christmas concert aimed a setting of Christmas trees, decorations and food.

Chen Tun-pang, a blind student from the Music Department of the College of Chinese Culture and a T1VVC scholarship awardee performed violin pieces at the concert.

The program include solo and choral works, with Margaret Mathews as director and Tina Nojek accompanying on the piano.

The meeting concentrated on educational foundation programs so as to provide assistance to deserving students in their education at colleges and vocational schools and in related cultural projects.

Grants will be awarded to persons eligible for such educational aid and funds will be raised to accrue interest to appropriate to achieving the objectives of the foundation.

A special committee will be set up by the foundation with reputable legal guidance.
