This year has
been for me, as President of the Taipei International Women's
Club, one of challenge and great enjoyment. There have been
disappointments and successes, but as a whole, it has been a
very satisfying year. Much has been achieved in the way of
help to the underprivileged. We have finally seen the birth of
the Education Foundation, after much hard work and I hope that
in the coming years to see this become a very important
contribution of the TIWC to the community in which we live.
I would like to thank my Board who have
been hard-working and a wonderful help to me during this year.
They have given of. their time and their energy to make all
the projects of this Club work as well as they can.
There are too many members who have given of their time and
energy to thank individually; so for them together - a big
thank you. To those of the Club members who have not taken
part in any of the activities, special projects or
fund-raising activities j do get involved. Make next year the
year in which you make your contribution to the Club and to
the Community - you'll find it a rewarding and a very
satisfying experience.
I wish my successor all success in the year 1977/78 and hope
that the spirit of Peace and Unity which was our theme for
this Silver Anniversary year will continue throughout the
future, for the Club, and for us all.
